We are TRITTON... and we play... fucking damn metall!!!
TRITTON started officialy as a band in 2009, but the precedents are vast. Guitarist Enrique Torres (ex Mekate, ex Zamak) and bassist Victor Varas (ex Simbiosis Atroz, ex Entropía) have been playing together since 1999, firstly as part of Nova, and later as members of Chronos. During this stage (1999-2001) they began to write music that would later turn into some Dracko's songs, such as Nostalgia Efímera and 33 Grados Norte, as well as many riffs and structures for recent songs not yet recorded by Tritton.
Victor and Enrique are former members of Dracko (Mexico City, 2001-2008), and were part of the lineup that recorded the demo HarMaguedón (2002) and the album El Mundo de los Dioses –The World of the Gods– (2004) together with singer Gehaciel Sosa, drummer Isaac Silva, guitarist Max Muñoz and keyboardist Daniel Koppen. In 2005, the band played in Monterrey Metal Fest II (which featured Motorhead, Danzing, WASP, Hammerfall and Mago de Oz on main stage, as well as Jag Panzer, Neil Turbin, Cristal y Acero and Dracko, among others, on second stage) and Union Metal Fest I, among other metal festivals. They also played frequently alongside Luzbel, Agora, Raxas, Calvaria, Psicofonía, Agnus Dei, Guarnerius, Mitika, Soulburner, Arge and Serpenta.
Guitarist José Gómez, founder member of Agnus Dei (march, 2000), entered Dracko in March, 2006, in substitution of Max, and appeared for the first time with the band when they played as opening act for Paul Dianno in Cuautitlán, México. Yohann used to play drums in Lethania (2002) and later in Hathor (2003-2007), and entered Tritton after the departure of drummer Roberto 'La Toña' Peralta. Pepe and Victor, by the way, are also current members of Agnus Dei. The list of bands in which we play or have played is completed by Dracko, Agnus Dei, Lethania, Hathor, Mourtoria, Chronos, Zamak, Simbiosis Atroz, Nova and Mekate. TRITTON is nowadays in creative process, principally working on lyrics and voices for the songs. The status of the songs of the band is, until now, PROVISIONALLY INSTRUMENTAL.
